Absentee voting will be offered during regular office hours between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M, Monday through Friday. In-person absentee voting will also be offered on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to noon. The last day to vote in-person absentee is Monday, April 6, 2009. A registered voter may also vote an absentee ballot by mail. Mail applications for absentee ballot must be received by the election authority no later than Thursday, April 2, 2009. To qualify for an absentee ballot a person must be a registered voter who is unable to vote in-person at his/her polling place on election day for one of the following reasons:
In addition, members of the armed forces and their families, nursing home residents and permanently physically incapacitated persons may qualify to vote absentee. To request an absentee ballot call the County Clerk's office at 815-772-5189
